Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. I have always been interested in good audio but have always had budget constraints (who doesn't...) and I was always on the $50 range. Like ten years ago I was into car audio (now I don't own a car) but I built a somewhat respectable home audio.

Now for Christmas I want to give myself a good wireless headphones around the $200 mark. I know that wired sounds better than wireless but I'm usually on the go and prefer to listen to my music without cables.

After researching a little bit I came into these two options:

Sennheiser HD 4.50

V Moda Crossfade
http://v-moda.com/crossfade-wireless/

Which one do you recommend? I'm open to suggestions as well. I knew Sennheiser from before and I like the sound although is not the most exciting (at least in the $50 earbuds range) whereas V-Moda is completely new for me (have read good things about the built quality).

If it helps I'm an indie rock/alternative rock guy. Think along the lines of Arcade Fire, Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, Muse, some classical (Mozart, Philip Glass, Hans Zimmer), some Metallica.

Thank you so much! You guys will make me happy this years end!

Both are good, but recently I've had the opportunity to try out the Sennheiser. Most specifically I tried out the HD4.30 which is the wired version. The HD4.50 should have a similar quality.

Overall, quite impressed. Both have good bass, and the HD4.50 is a bit unusual for a Senn offering as it had plenty of yummy bass. For on the go this is great, especially with the music listing you have (ie. LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk). Plus, the rest of the spectrum is very clear and linear so for classical, this will work out though I'd recommend EQing down the bass a bit and adding just a bit of sparkle to the highs to get something a closer to reference.

Quite comfy and light - go for it ! :)
