Hey guys. Recently, i had at the music shop, and i saw there a pair of Sennheiser HD 201. I bought them, for 26€. They sound good for the price (music, movies and guitar), but they dont are portable at all. So i was thinking: the Sennheiser PX-200 have a equal/better sound (music, movies and electric guitar)? They are very portable, have carrying case and i could use them at the street. Worth the change? Need your help.
Cheers!

New thread.
HD201 is not small, but it's not too big/ugly for portable use. I see them all the time around here.

HD201 are incredible cans for the money! The surpass every can in this category. I love my HD201 and often listen to the music with them. I doubt you can find headphones in this price range which have so balanced, neutral and spacious sound. If you care aboud the sound keep HD201!
Their major fault is the low sensitivity - an amp will make them give their best.

PX200: if you're talking about the old model, they're not worth the upgrade price. PX200-II are another story, being a very nice sounding pair of portable headphones (in the portable forum there are people who have some detailed impressions if you search). Having said that, I'm with brat in liking HD201. They couple very well IMO with warm sources and they are "quick" sounding, not the typical Senn sound. With some amping/powerful source, they perform better. I've had much more expensive headphones that did not sound so good...

Regards
K.

Sound wise the px200s and the HD201s are similar, but there is a bit more bass emphasis on the px200s. I find the 200s to be comfortable, leakless and well made. For the price and convenience buy the 200s. For extra sound quality, it is not worth it.
