Probably even happier with a tube amp.....

Quick question for those who have heard HEV70 and a better amp:
What are the improvements? I'd like more full-bodied bass, less edgy mids and highs, and perhaps a slightly darker and/or warmer presentation.

I own the Baby O's and i'm looking forward to buying a Stax tube amp in a few months and a new source as well.

Sounds like you would like the Stax 007t amp with the HE60, I owned that combo with the HEV70 as well, which now belongs to Hirsch.
I now have the HE90 /Headamp KGSS combo and will look for a HEV90 in the future.

Surprisingly enough, I've got an HE60 and HEV70

However, the amp I use with the HE60 is the Stax SRM-007t. This is a major upgrade from the HEV70. I also use the SR-404 with the Stax amp, but can't really listen to the Stax headphones for more than a couple of minutes before switching back to the Sennheisers (HE60 makes the SR-404 sound almost like it's underwater to me. Muddy and indistinct in comparison).

G'damn. I wish I had the money for an HE90/HEV90 system. I mean, the HEV90 is a bit... err... RKV'ish but I still love it.
