As the title says. Both are relatively cheap...which is good for me.
However, would i be right in saying the eh-250s have more bass and drown the sound a bit?
Im after something thats circumuaral and blocks sound out. The eh series fit the bill.
My concern is too much bass?
What are your experiences with the headphones? I dont like too much bass, but having said that I have some creative ep-630 iem's and they're quite bassy but the midrange and treble is still very detailed. Therefore nothing is spoiled.

So ye, your views?

Thanks

Well..no replies. Wondering if this is saying something about the cans!

The lack of responses is likely due to the fact that hardly anybody here at Head-Fi has even heard either of those headphones.

I can't see why that would be?

people tend to ignore budget sennheiser headphones (sans the PX100 and HD280) since, well, there's so many of them. i bought a pair of EH150 from Circuit City just to see what they were like. they were what i expected: a somewhat tinny version of the house sound

since the PX100 is the opposite of what you want, i'd say look into the HD280. not only because of sound quality over the EH series, but noise blocking is king on these babies.

they're about $100. you can get the Audio Technica A500 for around $80, which are great for their price, but kind of hard to find.

i'm going to suggest going with either the HD280 or A500, since the EH-x50 is just really lackluster

The EH250s aren't really worth it $99 MSRP. If you can find them for $60 or maybe $70 they are a good deal. They sound too "hot", with peaks that try to make a flat sound, but fail.

As a matter of fact, most $50-$100 Sennheisers I've been unimpressed with, and sound much too bassy.

You are better off getting the HD280-Pro, which you can find as cheap as $100, even though the MSRP is like $200.

The Beyerdynamic DT231 is also nice.
