Hello Im new to the forum and also new to headphone audio.  After some reseach and price point I decided the HD 598s were a good choice for me.  My question is I just built a new computer and bought a motherboard that I thought had a nice feature.  I know the HD 598s dont need a ton of extra power to drive them so my question is I dont want my motherboard to damage them with too much power.  My motherboard has a 600ohm output for studio grade headsets.  Here is the info from the manuf. about the audio outputs.  The motherboard I have is a MSI X99 Gaming 9 AC incase anyone wants to research it.  So to ask the question again would I damage my HD 598s by plugging it into the 600ohm output? I was going to post a picture of just the audio info but I cant post pictures yet I guess.  Here is a link to the info about the audio:

The only way your going to damage the HD598 plugged into the motherboard's headphone jack is if you of your own will set the computer's volume controls to max.
And chances are you will damage your ears drums  long before the headphones are.

The 600-Ohm rating for the motherboard in itself not how much power the headphone amplifier outputs, more like a the manufacturer claim the motherboard can drive 600-Ohm headphones.
How well it really would drives 600-Ohm headphones is an unknown.
