Sennheiser 558 worth it?

well a while back i bought a pair of ATH-M50s, recently my dog chewed through the cable, while my i wasnt home. now i am trying to decide what other headphones to buy, currently im looking at the Sennheiser HD 558 as i have heard a lot of good things about them, though im not an audiophile so a lot of the things i heard flew over my head. i already have an amp so thats not a problem, but i just wanted to know your opinions on them.

i listen to many different Genres.

a few artists i really love are.

the Talking Heads
Radiohead
The Strokes
Beck
The Smiths
(dont crucify me for this) Odd Future
Pink floyd 
The flaming lips.

And many more, so i like a pretty wide variety of stuff.

bumping, just once, i also realized that i forgot to ask my main question, are these worth the price or should i look at other phones?
