Uh, anyone?

These seem to be a pretty cool pair of cans for the price, yet they get little love around here.

Anyone got an opinion on them?

I bought a pair a while ago, I think I described them here as PX100s on steroids. Unamped they are pretty boomy but get better amped. I had to remove the material covering the drivers to open up the mids a bit. It wasn't long before I moved on to 595s, then 650s, then valve amp etc etc. In hindsight I think I should have gone straight to the 595s or 555s as a trade off. I reckon that way I wouldn't have moved on so quick. The 485s seemed OK for a short while but it didn't take long before I dumped them

They're quite good for the price[$79]imho.
