Well, I am really having trouble finding a decent rock setting on Windows Media Players EQ. This is the best setup I could come up with. I have to turn the 8 and 16 khz all the way down if I am listening to any classical music, there is a lot of fuzz and hissing.

Any suggestions?

yes, get a proper EQ(VST plugin in foobar), and EQ to kill your outer ear resonances...nothing more, nothing less: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/5950226-post344.html

making a V eq won't do any good to your music.

Yeah... I've had nothing but bad experience with the WMP equalizer. It generally just seems to make the music sound worse. I'd go with leeperry's advice above, and good luck!
