I agree. The HD595 is an astounding headphone. It is also probably the most underrated set of cans.

I think the 595 has the right combination of soundstage and detail. People think it's boring because it doesn't draw emphasis to one particular thing. But isn't that where your source is supposed to come in? For me, I'd prefere a high fidelity, uncolored headphone....I've got enough to tweak
