What gain does everybody like their MINT's for their Senn 650's or other high ohm phones?
Is the default 10.5 enough?
(Senn 650's are 300 ohm btw)

10.5 is plenty. For myself though, I just had my current amp reduced to a gain of around 6.

Yes the default is enough, and maybe too much... it is not an "average" gain for any particular use, it's just how the circuit started out, IIRC. Unless you like your music very loud, I'd expect gain of 5-7 to be a good range.

7 gets my mp3 player (lowest voltage output) to decent volumes with my 300 ohm cans. it may want a little more gain.

my cd player is deafening at 1/2 knob with gain of 7...
