My HD600's have developed a very, slight "grackle" on higher frequencies. Would the Grado trick work with Senheissers? Or is this something different.

How old are they, lextek? This is the first time I've heard of sennheisers developing the problem.

I bought them used. They were said to be about 4 months old, they appear to be. They really haven't had much use since I've had them, til this week. I might just blaast them for a while, see what happens.

Just a lexical question -- shouldn't it be 'scrackle?' It kind of annoys me that people say 'grattle' or g-whatever for problems with any brand of headphone.

The Grado trick is driving the phones at a high volume (off your head) for a while. Does something to the driver. It worked on a pair of SR60's. that had that upper end crackle. I just tried it for a few minutes with Sens and it might have taken care of it. I'll have to try some other CD's
