I wandered aimlessly around Pantip Plaza in Bangkok a couple of weeks back, unaware that this place existed. I didnt have the money for the RS1i listed here at the equivalent of about 930 AUD:
PANTIP.COM Headphone Pricelist - ÃÒ¤ÒËٿѧ, Ëٿѧ, àδ⿹, Headphone, Koss, Grado, Grado Labs, Alessandro, Skullcandy, Headphone Amplifier, Headphone Amp, iPod Classic, iPod Nano, ÁÑ蹤§ Gadget, audiophile, ÅÓ⾧, mp3 player, mp4, CD, VCD, áÍÁ»ì, ÊÒÂ
Assuming we arent talking fakes here (at those prices, I very much doubt it), thats almost $300 off the price the local distributor is asking for the same headphones:
Welcome to audiophile
Granted, you dont buy a plane ticket to save a few bucks on a pair of Grados, but it will make my next trip considerably more rewarding. Unlike Adelphi, the shop owners at Pantip strike me as being very keen to do business.
