I'm thinking about getting off Team Signal Cable and tossing my Audioquest Python to get some different flavors for copper and silver. What are your guys' ideas here? I'm looking only for RCA-RCA interconnects that are under $300 for 1 meter.

Please keep in mind that I want the copper one to be entirely copper, not silver-plated, or even with silver connectors, and I want the silver to also be entirely silver, not even with copper or gold connectors, and to actually sound like silver too (because my current ones don't sound very silver-like).

I'm wide open to all options. Though I might prefer the more recognizeable brand names.

If anyone thinks I'd be hard-pressed to find better ICs than either the Python or Silver Res Analog at my budget, let me know that too, that would probably reassure me.

Oh and please no recommendations for DIY or buying from DIY-FP outfits. Whatever I get needs to at least have some level of name recognition within some audio circles, it can't be something nameless.

Check out Larry's web site, if I remember correctly, he makes cables like that

This is what I used and is the first and last interconnect that got me off the IC merry go round. Continous cast copper in a litz config, has the detail of silver without the harshness with that great copper body and fullness. Dennis is a pleasure to deal with, his guide on litz braiding is standard in various DIY circles. Cables are wonderfully built and they are the most transparent things I have heard. 60 day guarantee as well.

Don't know what you mean by wanting the silver to sound like silver, but consider this another vote for homegrown audio's silver lace. To my ear they have it all without adding any coloration to the sound and you shouldn't ever have any trouble selling them on audiogon. The other recommendation within the price range are a set of Luminous Audio Technology Synchestras.

If you want something even better in silver for about the same money used, try to find a set of TG Audio HSR IC's. The TG HSR's are basically Synchestras that have been hot-rodded by TG Audio and are the best cable I have ever heard at any price ($400/1m new).

For copper try a set of Luminous Synchestra Signatures, although you'll probably have to pick them up used to meet your price parameters.

Great cables !!! Was blown away quite frankly.

I've heard great things about their products but horrible things about their customer service.
