Dear all,
First of all, please bear with me the boring intro to this thread.
Well, it seems that this year I have been infected by Sony Audio "bug"
... (since the beginning of 2013, I have been spending money on Sony audio related products from their DVD Home Theatre System (BDV N9100W), 3 pairs of earphones/headphones, MP3 player and the latest buy is the import from Japan for their flagship DAP (Sony NW ZX1) and portable AMP (PHA-2)).
Now, I am looking to set up a reasonably good audio system in my office room desk, and my current choice is as follow:
(Yes you guessed it right... Sony again)

Speakers: Sony SS-HA3 Approx. $371 in Japan ($350 in US) - Dimensions: 150x231x232mm
DAC: Sony USB DAC Approx. $437 in Japan ($799 in Amazon.com) - Dimensions: 13.1x11.7x7.6inch
As of now, my priorities for the set up are as follow:
Please let me know, your thoughts on this matter.
Thank you
Regards
SimonT.

As of now, my priorities for the set up are as follow:
- Sound - preferably warm yet detailed sound signature
- USB DAC able to nicely play 24 bits audio files - coming out from the above mentioned Sony NW ZX1 DAP
- Design and size should not negatively shock people walking into my room (classy and reasonably sized to be set up near the wall at the corner of my desk)
- Cost should be less than $1,000
- Open to your opinions
Please let me know, your thoughts on this matter.
Thank you
