Sorry for the second thread, but didn't get to ask my questions about portable setup.
Been looking at the AK240 and SS, but also interested in what would give me the same kind of sound by buying components to stack. Currently have a set of the Shure SE846's which will do for now. Not too concerned about the size, more about sound quality, storage capacity, battery life a little important.
