Sealed headphones for portable use?

in this price range, that about covers it.

On this list, I've only heard the PX200s. I get a good seal with them, and I thought they were OK for what they are and cost. Then after I sold them I went on a long last-minute bus trip and was really, really bummed that I didn't have them. I would consider them a good set to keep in your quiver.

is it with the triflanges you cant hear the wind blowing in at the phones?(er-4)?
Sry if i read badly. I much prefer triflanges/durability over foamies, cos i cant buy new foamies all the time because i live in denmark.
thanx

Yes, I am a bit on the daft side.

I've never tried canals and don't know if I'd be comfortable with them because I don't even like wearing those "Husher" earplugs they sell in the drug stores to cut out noise. Scwtlover said he didn't want canal phones so I was just going along with the choices he posted. (And he is a fellow Karma owner--which is totally different from an Ipod owner

(The great thing about the Sennheiser 280 Pros and wearing them at the gym is that my neck muscles get a good work-out wearing them and I don't have to do any additional neck exercises on the weight machines.

A little wind noise with the tri-flanges; none with the custom sleeves.

If you are getting wind noise with the tri-fs/E2s then perhaps worth trying wetting them etc to see if you can bump up the quality of the seal.

Microphonics with the ER4 can be bad if you don't use the clip. if you manage the cable properly isn't terrible; can't compare with the shures as have never tried them.

The Senn 280s sound great and they block out a lot of external noise, but they are big cans. I wouldn't wear them jogging, but they work great on a plane or in the car.
