Seagate Freeagent Desktop stops foobar intermittently !

I got a 500GB USB hard drive to back up my huge collection of music in various hard drives.
But when I play files in Seagate USB with foobar music stops for few seconds and restarts randomly. This drives me nuts!!!

When I use kernel streaming stoPS are more frequent than ASIO4ALL.
I disabled power management on USB drive too.
Is this damn drive defective? Please help with your opinion!

Do you notice any irregular behavior when reading or writting data to the drive, or only when playing music files that are on this drive?

It is when it is playing music at least up to now.

If the drive is removable from the external case, have you tried plugging it straight into your computer (assuming its a desktop and not a laptop)?
