I am a loyal fan of the Shure 846s. Had a pair for 4 years and lost them when the boat I was living on sank. At the time, I was using my rooted Samsung Galaxy with viper FX installed and got incredible results. I just purchased a new set and I'm looking for advice or recommendations on getting the best sound out of them using my cheap Samsung Galaxy phone. I lost all my music when the boat sank and don't really have the money to replace it all, so I listen to Spotify these days. I guess what I'm looking for is a dongle based DAC with a built-in equalizer, preferably 10 band. I keep searching and reading and searching and reading and the more I search and read the more confused I become. About the best thing I have found thus for is the Lotoo PAW S2 but the problem with it is that it's EQ only has presets. Not really what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations to offer me given the fact that I'm using Spotify on an Android phone? Any help that you can give me is tremendously appreciated. Thank you.
