I got a great deal on a pair of SE530, this will be my second pair of IEM, the last pair I had was the E2C, and it wasn't comfortable at all...after that I used the PK1(very comfortable to my ear), but since I got a good deal here, I thought why not give another pair of IEM a chance.

So what should I expect in terms of comfort? Is the SE530 much more comfortable than the E2C?

The se530s are very comfortable. In fact they are the most comfortable IEMs I have tried.

BTW. Do you wear glasses. The se530s go around the ear and many people who wear glasses seem to find it annoying.

How the cable interacts with glasses will be about the same with the SE530s as they were with your E2Cs. I wear glasses sometimes and I have had no issues with the cable going over the ears, but each person is different.

Comfort is more about the tips, especially when the cabling style is similar. I like the black olive tips with my E500s. Very comfortable that way.

Rest assured that the SE530 is one of the most comfortable universal IEMs on the market; they're on par with my customs.

The E500/SE530 are a little more ergonomic form factor (lower profile inside the folds of the outsid ear), and have a narrower barrel that the foamie tip goes on. BUt some people just don't /can't use IEMs no matter what, it's a pretty major intrusion into the ear canal.

I have both e2c and SE530/e500. The e500s are much more comfortable. I think this is mostly because the tip you insert is much smaller than on the e2c. This also lets you get a much better seal. Also, the black foamies are said to be very comfortable.

Funny thing was when I first placed an IEM in my ear, it felt natural and like it was an everyday thing. That also might be because I use Q-tips everyday to clean my ears :O. Also, I don't have big ears, but I can tell I have larger than average ear canals, so maybe that's why?
