Hi,

At this moment I've got the Senn. CX30.
I want some more quality and sound, so I was looking at this 2 models:

Sennheiser IE 6
Shure SE110

Does anyone knows which monitor has a better sound?
Can someone tell me which of the two should I take?

Thanks,

Bert

I have heard Shure SE110 and i havent heard IE6.

i didnt like Shure SE110 to be honest..the sound lacked any impact..although it was detailed but i didnt enjoy it at all.

u mite wanna 'search' for Sennheiser IE6 reviews on head-fi

Sennheiser IE6 will definitely sound better and is also easier to insert and more comfortable than deep inserting IEMs, like the Shures. The Shure SE110 is quite a bit cheaper though. There are other great options in the same price range as the Senn IE6, if you have the money to spend, like Q-jays, Sleek Audio SA6, UE Super.fi 5 (non-pro) and Phonak Audeo PFE.

u shud have emphasized Phonak Audeo PFE ..with the amount of attention its getting here.

also SF5 V2 is an impressive IEM....but i didnt like its soundstage if it has any. hence went for IE7.

Well, actually on some Russian audio forum that I read recently, people are finding Phonak Audeos, while really good for the price, to be technically inferior to more expensive IEMs, like Sleek SA6 and Q-jays. People there are saying that PFE sounds a bit schematic, lacking the micro-detail of the more expensive 'phones.

Now, the Phonaks may simply be more enjoyable than the more technically advanced IEMs to many people becuase of their fun and well extended sound sig, and really that's all that matters I guess, but still there are people who prefer detail over musicality and for those folks the Phonak PFEs may not be the best choice.
