So when you say "single ended", are you here referring just to the headphone connection (as opposed to balanced), or are you referring to the tube amp's circuit topology (single ended versus push-pull)?  These are different things.

I suppose its the topology? And its already shown in reply #2 and #4.

Well in that case I don't know what the question is about the WA5LE. It's Single Ended - hence the "SET" designation, Single Ended Triode :wink:

The OP said "no balanced circuit topology", and again, balanced output and push-pull circuit design are completely different things. The Leben is push-pull, but not balanced.

Thanks for confirming.  You see, my line of thought was...if the amplifier cannot take advantage of a balanced source, then it's SE.  I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't that simple though, so if someone wants to jump in and explain, then we can get this thread done right.  I wasn't sure whether the Leben or WA5LE can take advantage of a fully balanced source.
