Curious...
When DAPs with SD card slots state "2G capacity". How true is that? Are there DAPs that accept any capacity SD card?

Sorry if this has been discussed already, I tried the search tool and didn't find much that way.

thanks in advance

My understanding is.... if it's a microSD slot, your current limit is 2GB for those type of cards. If it's SD there should be no limit, up to whatever's the max (32GB?).

But just note some players don't offer full functionality with the SD card, like the new Creative ZEN.

I'm a fan of the $8 SD player with no features or screen. =)

You might want to search internet to see if other people have tested higher than 2GB SD with your DAP model

I don't have a SD card DAP but my Palm Tungsten E2 won't read anything higher than 1gb. It doesn't recognize that a card is inserted if it's higher than 1GB. I tried every hack I could find on internet nada nothing. What is stupid is that the tungsten E (earlier version) can read 2GB with an upgrade. Go figure.

I have a Cowon D2 4gb and I have a 8gb SDHC card installed in it too (12gb total). The new D2's are 8gb to start and you can get a 16gb SD card giving you 24gb flash DAP.
