Those little suckers are like a puzzle box...lol. They are very, very sturdy which is a good thing but trying to get the tubes out takes some scissors for sure...haha.
I never had a tube amp but I guess that tubey means organic (rounded up) sound..more holographic meaning bigger soundstage and some ''weight'' to the notes....also not harsh treble...

Vali 3 is a safe bet and a very good capable yet also very affordable tube amp. I have been using my NDH 30s most of the time with the Vali 3. I get clear/er picture of sound changes, tube's nuances and character with the NDH 30.
