Those little suckers are like a puzzle box...lol. They are very, very sturdy which is a good thing but trying to get the tubes out takes some scissors for sure...haha.
Needle-nose pliers to carefully remove one of the staples, then the flap can be lifted up and the tube removed. Always be kind to the cardboard. 🤣 🤣

Great tip! I was honestly like a little kid on Christmas, tearing off that wrapping to get to the gift...haha.

Bah. As long as you get the pins exposed, just plug the sucker in - box and all. What's the worst that can happen:laughing:

That would be cruel to the cardboard. Shame on you.

trying to get the tubes out takes some scissors for sure...

Some customers use a hammer and pliers, hence the 4 tube pack - at least one tube should make it from box to amp 🤣

I’m glad you added the no tubes were harmed - it would be sleepless nights for me!
... Sleep 😴? .... 🚫 .... it's 😳 if Philips 'azure' ECGs are left unharmed ....

hello there,

If someone wanted to be introduced to tube sound without braking the bank....which amp would be more tubey sounding? valhalla 2 or vali 3?

What headphones do you have? And what does “tubey” mean to you? This will help with the recommendations….

Thank you for your reply,

I have the hd 650, 660s and the ndh 30

I never had a tube amp but I guess that tubey means organic (rounded up) sound..more holographic meaning bigger soundstage and some ''weight'' to the notes....also not harsh treble...

Vali 3 is a safe bet and a very good capable yet also very affordable tube amp. I have been using my NDH 30s most of the time with the Vali 3. I get clear/er picture of sound changes, tube's nuances and character with the NDH 30.
