Always thought silver and black were classic.

Since preamp duty was mentioned. My Vali 3 is paired up with my Asgard 3. My Vali 2++ is teamed up with my Emotiva BasX A-100. WE 396A in the Vali 3, GE 5670W in the Vali 2++. I'm going to change that to a GE 5 Star 5670 at some point but giving the other tube a good listen. And I have a Little Dot 1+ with WE308A tubes coming. Getting ready for long listens with the cooler weather coming.

Yes for the most part but for some reason, being that the Vali’s chassis is already 2 tone, staying in the same color wheel with bright silver don’t quite work well with me and contrasting color like red vibed better.

Lol! On the bright side, the shaft on the volume pot should wear out at about the same time the tube socket does, so both can be replaced at the same time.
