Schiit Vali 2

I was recently recommended the Schiit Vali 2 amp. I was wondering what tube amps compare to this one, and if anyone knew of a cheaper one with external tubes that sounds similar? Preferably a tube with low-med gain. Thanks!
Setup: Fiio A3 (as OnBoard PC audio bypass) for AKG Q701.

And if anyone is wondering why I want a tube amp when I already have a digital one, Q701 highs are a bit touchy without tubes.

So you already have the FiiO A3, connected to the PC and the Q701 connected to the FiiO A3?
Might consider getting a sound card with a good DAC chip (Asus xonar DX or D1, used)
Or a USN or optical DAC (Hifimediy).

Well from what I've heard so far with them, the digital input makes it sound a bit bright. I wanted tubes because, according to most, it helps lower that bright tone.
