Nice rig there, migasson!

Is that a Grado phone on the stand? Which model - you like them with the Valhalla?

Thanks. Cheers.

Yep! PS500. I haven't had a huge chance to listen to them, as the Valhalla is sounding very nice with the Fischers... And the AKG's are sounding very nice with the Soloist! So my Grados are a little bit neglected... I'll see if I can put in some hours, and let you know...

Hello Jason,

I have the Sennhieser HD 650's currently powered by the X-Cans V2 with the X-PSU external power supply.  I was looking to upgrade to a newer headphone amp and was thinking about the Valhalla.  I tried the Woo Audio WA6 and didn't think it was enough of an upgrade to be worth the money. It seemed to have a wider soundstage and perhaps a slightly sweeter sound but no tighter bass and seemed to have less reserve (just in case I moved up to the Sennhieser HD 800's.)  I am looking for a little tighter bass and a more musical (or "tube-like") midrange.  Originally had thought about the Lyr but I was not sure about it's higher noise floor.  Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Randy

Hey Randy i think you will probably get more replies about your decision on which amp to choose on this tread http://www.head-fi.org/t/601151/schiit-owners-unite/4440#post_10285980

If you do decide on the Valhalla, which should work fine with the 300ohm resistance of the hd650, you can use this thread to help tune the amp a bit to your preferences listed above. http://www.head-fi.org/t/619910/schiit-valhalla-tube-rolling-thread
