What's the other? Most feel Goldfinger is the best. I still vote for "You Only Live Twice" as my favorite. :grinning:
Mine are "Goldfinger" and "You Only Live Twice" in that order until I watch YOLT and hear Nancy Sinatra sing the title song and I am taken back in time to seeing that film with my family in the 60s. It depends upon which one I last watched but those two are my favorites!

Dame Shirley Bassey owns the title song to "Goldfinger" and Honor Blackman as "Kitteh Galore" is just gorgeous but so too is Akiko Wakabayashi as "Aki". Both films are great and Goldfinger was the first Bond film for me.

I am now listening all of the Bond theme songs now. The music satisfies what passes for my soul.

I thought the yellow boxes on the floor behind the work table were @bcowen's new amps...
Bill is deserving of better, not much better, but better.

I bought a DarkVoice just so I could get all the cuts right for an extension for one he owned. He did the final finish on it. Tiger maple but the stripes do not pop till the finish is added.

So you applied a cheap fake wood (vinyl) veneer to Bill's Cat Litter Cardboard Box amp? An upgrade well beyond what is deserved! :p

EMI/ RFI shielding notwithstanding, I prefer the wood chassis to the painted, perforated steel. Unless I could cloak the DarkVoice in a Tidy Cats box.

A decent trivia question is which actor played Bond after Sean Connery and before Roger Moore. David Niven did a parody in Casino Royale but that is not considered a true Bond film. This actor played James Bond just once. Easy to google of course but some of you may know it without doing so.

We must be of similar ages, as Goldfinger was my first film in a theater. My Dad liked the Ian Fleming books, while my Mom liked Bond! 😀

Connery is an Bond icon, Moore a little too goofy, Brosnan a little too smooth. I like Craig because he's what I would expect, a wise but world weary special agent who's taken a lot of physical punishment and mental stress over his career, but can't seem to break away from it and its taken its toll.

But, Telly Savalas as a villain? That never worked for me. He was always Kojak, the same way Roger Moore was "The Saint" Simon Templar.

Yeppers, and I know you are a true movie buff.

Here is a top plate I made for this gentleman, even perforated metal can be pretty.5A0B048E-E1C7-4F3B-9893-B0A5FCE916FD.jpeg

Two pounds of solid copper. No CNC machine involved.

George Lazenby in, "On her Majesty's Secret Service" with Diana Rigg (Emma Peel of "The Avengers).
PS - Here is another bit o Bond trivia. What Bond film is a remake of another Bond film and what are the titles of these two films?
