In @Dynasty62 's case it sounds like the fuse just jarred loose, but if the unit took a hard enough hit to dislodge the fuse, I'd wonder what else in there (like transformers) got jarred loose at the same time.

I am hoping you will explain how replacing fuses and cleaning the contacts have a big effect on SQ. If you do PM me so I can get the popcorn ready.

Fuses are so 1990's. Ninety-nine-9's pure copper rod is the way to go. But only after cryo-treating, which I'll assume is stating the obvious.

Never liked the Magnepan fuses. They seem so, idk, cheap ass.
