Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I've got a Ragnarok 2 due to arrive tomorrow and was wondering if there is a general consensus in this group as to whether it is better to leave it on 24/7 or have it on only when used? Anyone know what the power consumption is when idle?
Mine is Amp only, so I turn it off when not in use.

The only problem with the undertones is the price. Roughly 3k for a single sub? Double the price of the DW. Would be cool if Zu came out with a passive DW sub.
I know, the price is what's been holding me back. Also, I've never heard an Undertone. Hopefully as audio shows start up again there will be opportunities for in-person listening.

The Stereophile Recommended Components list is out. I noticed that Yggdrasil, Aegir and Jotunheim R were all on the list, with Aegir being the (by far) lowest-priced power amp rated as Class A by Stereophile (their rating system, not the amp operating mode). Congratulations to the Schiit team!

re: Zu Undertone. I only suggested it because the OP owns Zu speakers and perhaps you would want the finish to match. If the price is the driving factor there are many options out in the world including some really good suggestions in this thread plus DIY if you are so inclined. The trick, really, is integrating with the mains to create the sound you want. And bottom line, of course, is to enjoy the music!!

Capable subs have always been expensive.

Now that the flavor boards out can we please get an upgraded front panel for Yggdrasil with an IR receiver and a remote?

Got my RA number today to upgrade my Gungnir OG to multi-bit and Unison. It's a classic, built before multi-bit was a "thing." It runs in my bedroom system and I will be very curious to hear the new and improved sonics when it returns.
