You can buy a complete replacement tube set for $4600. No mention of matching or tube manufacturer.
Supposedly you could lose a few tubes without interruption in sound.
There will be a time that MQA is not a logo that manufacturers of audio equipment want to put on their product to increase sales. But admittedly, it is hard to get rid of these license scams, look at Dolby ... Though fair to say Dolby sell what it is on the tin.
When I visit my parents in Italy this summer, I'll be registering a Qobuz account in hope I can then access it from Hungary once registered. It may cost me more than what I pay for Tidal's family pack locally, but getting rid of MQA would be worth every penny.
In light of no forthcoming class-D amp from Schiit, I am getting very interested in this new one (A20a) from Sabaj.
Don't really need the balanced inputs now, but nice to have. Same thing with the remote. I like that the power supply is integrated, fiddling with the switching power adapters gets tedious. Waiting on a full Audio Science Review article, but this is the most interesting one I've seen in a while.
Yesterday I ordered a Saga 1 b-stock and a new Modious in black...
During the ordering process, I had to acknowledge that the shipping time was an estimate and that it may change and that I understand I may have to wait for a few weeks (paraphrasing).
I like that Schiit is doing this so clients understand they have to be patient, which most of us here on the forum understand.
Update:
I received a shipping notice for both early this morning - I know it will take time to reach customs, for me to pay the CDN taxes and to get it at FedEx down the street, but I'm impressed it shipped waaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than promised.
Only FedEx can disappoint me now.
