@Jason Stoddard if I love your AKM products like Yiggy, is the window closing? Buy your beloved Schiit now or else? I am just not an ESS fan. Sorry.

We should ask Mike that question maybe.

Yggdrasil doesn't use AKM.

AFAIK only the S/PDIF receiver AK4113 in a Yggy is an AKM part, and I believe Schiit is well stocked on these.
(like Jason just posted, while I was still typing) Yggy's DAC chips are made by ADI (Analog Devices). D/S chips in gungnir (non-Multibit), Modi 3+, Modius, Hel, Fulla are AKM.
Hopefully Jason, Mike, Dave & co can find an S/PDIF receiver to replace the AKM part-- one where the Toslink doesn't sound "like ass" as Mike describes it even when running at a "mere" 16/44.1 (or maybe the poor audible performance, akin to viewing through a dirty window, is inherent to the Toslink transmitters and/or receivers).

Sorry if this question had been asked already, the thread is quite long to scroll through.
For the Schiit CD Transport Urd, does anyone know if support other format such as SACD?

I thought everything you make is AKM. Oh well, I guess I'm clueless.

"Stimulus check burning a hole in your pocket? Buy Schiit! Made in America Schiit! Make America Schiit Again!"

No, TX BBQ is so good, so wholesome, so soul lifting it cures whatever ails you from the inside out. In fact, the healing starts with the simple smell of the wood smoke and spices. It'll even wipe disturbing images from your mind's eye.
That was good. I mean really good. No way you wrote that.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Huddle time. (the lines are clearly drawn between NC and TX BBQ, so what do we do with party crashers? Forced Spam digestion? Alcohol poisoning by way of Pabst Blue Ribbon? Got to nip this in the bud.)
