Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

God I love this company.

Looking forward to the ipo, or I could just hand you a twenty ...

It sure simplifies my gear shopping process when my Rule 1 is, “if Schiit makes one of what you’re looking for, just buy that.” And Rule 2 is that if they don’t make one, I ask Jason whether anything like that is in the pipeline.

The only problems arise when Schiit makes more than one of what I’m looking for.

My wife's exact comment when asked her age

I never got the age thing. I tell my wife that you can change any attribute but age is set in stone. You can add stuff, remove stuff, reshape stuff, change color of stuff etc., there is nothing you can do that will ever change the fact that you were born on a specific date. She actually asked me if I could change her DOB in the EMR system at the hospital system I work for so that here wrist band would not show her true DOB, she was only half-joking. I decided to keep my job and leave it be.

Plus if you log into your account on Schiit dot com you can see your order history. Mine goes right back to the first thing I purchased (Lyr) in 2013.
In Europe that is broken since the new website.

I laughed my ass of when I went to the Schiit Archive site. But I'm afraid the joke is only for us Dutchies.
If you read Náströnd as if it was a Dutch word it reads (na) After (stront) Schiitt. LOL

I'm kinda at a loss of what to do better than Freya+, other than putting a bunch more connectors on it to accommodate the guys who want to do a one-button HT bypass and/or processor loop. I'd be tempted to throw in matrix surround and sub output just because I'm crazy, though.
Extra pairs of balanced / xlr outputs would be nice so you could use Freya+ for both your stereo setup and headphone setup - eg Yggy -> Freya+ -> Dual Aegir on one pair and Yggy -> Freya+ -> Mjolnir / Rag / Jot / Magnius on the other. I actually find the current version back the front - I only have 1 balanced input (Yggy) and want 2 balanced outputs.

you could get a set of XLR "y" splitters provided that at least one of the amplifier inputs is high impedance ( ~10K or greater). Freya+ can feed the dual Aegirs and a Schiit balanced hp amp.

I've linked to the Discontinued Product Archive on the site, under Guides: https://el8442.wixsite.com/schiitarchive

And, in keeping with the sine wave diagram, expect a year-end wrap-up chapter tomorrow.

As you know, we're definitely a bunch of Babies. It's hard to keep us happy. But, no matter what, we all appreciate your and Schiit's efforts to entertain us.

A sincere Thank You..! :grinning:

I am stuck with HD600/HD6xx. Spending something like $1800 for a ZMF is not something I look forward to.
I went from the HD558, to the HD600, to the HD800S... back to the HD6xx!

Sometimes better isn't actually better, for me and my average ears the HD600 and HD6xx sounded 90% as good as the HD800, plus they are lighter and more comfortable!
There are times I miss the supreme comfort of my HD558, but for me the sweet spot between sound quality and comfort is the 6-series Sennheiser.

My favorite Senn is the HD580. I keep the 650s around, but never really use them, and the 800 was nothing special to me. The HD580 which I've owned now for 25 years or so is a survivor and remains in my rack.
