Been holding out to replace my Modi 2, especially since I got my Asgard 3. This looks like what I was waiting for, however I won't be able to take advantage of the Balanced outs on the DAC. But I see no reason not to get one now.

I watched the 1st episode of "Laurel Canyon" last evening on EPIX. Outstanding documentary! I believe the 2nd episode starts streaming today.

I remember when oil came in quart cans and you had a special spout tool to get it out. of course that was just us kids because the serviceman at the gas station would add it for the adults

Old car nostalgia overload! Round cardboard oil cans that burst if you dropped them! Funny-looking spouts! When a "dirty weekend" referred to the grease under your fingernails! (Doctor Bronner's soap still the best for that.) My favorite oil for my GT6 was Duckham's Q, which back then was a wonderful emerald green that looked good enough to drink. (I heard that, and NO, I never did.) Geez, time to shut down the computer and head for the garage...

Apparently I get unlucky as now USPS says the package has been delayed and they don't even have an estimated delivery date, despite me being on the West Coast and my Modius shipping the morning they were announced. Still, could be worse. I ordered Magnepan LRSs in February, still waiting for them. And the Rel subwoofer I ordered has also been delayed by UPS due to "civil unrest".
All 3 of those shipments will be worth the wait...as hard as it is :relaxed:

Oooooh. A Chevy Nomad!!

1956?
'57. '56 had smaller fins. I also had a '55 Bel Air at the same time but I don't have any photos of it. The 55 was pure stock, the 57 had a pumped 396 in it out of a 68 Chevelle.

OK. For some reason I thought '57 Nomad shared the '57 Belair chrome treatment on the fins...

Yours seems to have '57 fins and '56-like (but not exact) chrome treatment.

They could. There were several variations. Mine was an el-cheapo when it was new. :)
