Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I could be wrong but I don't think it has anything to do with the global distribution network. I think it is more to do with their products being so popular at launch they can't keep up with demand so the rest of the world gets dealt with once their local market is mostly done for the on release buyers.

It can be frustrating but that is just how it is, a company will always deal with its biggest market first. A good example of this is the Focal launch which started in America despite the fact they are made in France and that was once again down to targeting the biggest market first.

Hope that helps and if anyone from Schiit can correct me feel free

It still baffles me how Nintendo screws this up with every one of their products by launching it multiple markets too quickly. Back a couple decades ago, they'd spread the release dates out between Japan, US, and Europe over 8 or 9 months.

I appreciate there's great demand for these 'Schiity' products (I love them!), can they not ship a box with 10 units to the new world close to the actual launch? Why do American audiophiles count more than others?

Ironically, I could order online (from the US) a European voltage and a UK plug version of Freya to be shipped to the UK.

However, if I ever have a  problem with the product (or in the case of the Yggy - an upgrade at some point) I'll have to ship it all the way to the US which will inevitably take time and money and mainly without a major component in a 2 channel system - no music for weeks (at best...).
Alternatively, Schiit has a great representative i the UK (and I believe there are others in Europe) who is freindly and professional and could probably fix whatever the problem and probably turn it around in a few days, with local post/delivery and no taxes...

Surely that's a better scenario for Schiit (and us customers?) I'm not familiar with the numbers, but IU'm sure that if Schiit would allocate 20% of production for 'over seas' distribution (to other Schiit heads just like you!) it will allow the most enthusiastic (foreign) fans to get heir hands on cool bew Schiit and mainly show it to other bedazzled locals.

Just my 2p,
I find Schiit otherwise admirable and quite possibly the coolest brand in the world.

I do not care about the case finish, I care about the performance. How about a "Delete front/top cover" option so that we can view circuit card assembly porn??

Thing is, the metal front/top cover acts as a form of RFI shield too, which is proven to help against cases where phones are used near these audio devices; the RFI transmitted by phones will interfere with the SQ of amps if they are not shielded properly.

Yggy review is up. Don't hurt yourselves!

I learned more about the reviewer's obsession with Nico than I learned about Yggy.

If you run a 120V product at 240V, does it sound twice as good...?

Depends how much electricity costs.

Twice as good but only for a limited duration so you really need to listen out for the improvements

If you zoom in you can read the white print on the PCB...
