Snippy snap, those ivory keys.  Well temperament or tactile sympathy.

Clickity clack, the rolling stock intone.  Awaiting the erstwhile bushwhackers' vengeance.

Here is a preamp with nixies: http://www.dodocus.de/UBoxV-N.html

One of their other products is something I wondered about the existence of: a passive pre-amp with powered remote control, and it even has a HT bypass setting.

Think SYS with a motorized pot, which is something I've heard people ask for before on this forum. I could totally picture that in a Schiit box, but the power switch would be on the back, of course, and you would toggle through the inputs one by one with a single button on the front. Of course.

EDIT: Are there other examples of passive pre's with remote power volume and switching that I'm not aware of? The price on this one is around 450-500€ depending on options.

The SYS is powered by carbon units.

I've only seen these devices on diy audio forums. Probably because of that fat Price. They had better have used a fantastic pot!

As long as it has at least one fixed level output I'll be happy. Have to be able to hook up additional headphone amps.

Can't you just come out of your DAC with 2 outputs?
Or...are you using the DAC in the Jot?

Aha, I stand corrected!

Kinda big for keyboard use, though...

Yeah, but we want these (Nixies) in the preamp - along with a magic eye tube!

Seriously, still expecting the amp and pre to debut at RMAF?

I love the magic eye tubes! Best physics class experiment of the semester (well, to me, no one else gave a damn).

Jason Stoddard I don't suppose there is a time scale for getting Gumbys shipped out to your UK dealer? I know the case problem was fixed a couple of weeks ago and I am now waiting patiently for stock to arrive over here (not really that patient as I can't wait to try it :D). Thanks for any help :)
