Supporting software is not fun. I know, I make my living doing so - well, part time, at least. Some customers have the annoying habit of getting in touch and asking what the heck we were thinking when programming their kit to do such-and-such. It would be much simpler just shipping hardware. QC2 isn't as bad as us snobs at headfi make it out to be. If I flew a lot, I'd have a pair to compliment my ciems. The noise canceling is really good. A Lyr 2 on high gain could probably let the smoke out though…

Lol true the lyr2 on high gain could smoke the QC2 but the lyr would be a good amp to start the path of the audiophile.

The QC2 has an internal amp, nothing will be gained by using an external amp. Perhaps dad will get him a set of new cans.

I'm following the reading from the Table of Content, but it seems like I there's some mis-numbering. Chapter 32 in the Table of Content becomes Chapter 31 in the actual post. Actually there's 2 Chapter 31 in the post, and the following chapter numbering seems shifted (Ch 32-34, there's no Ch 35, and jump to Ch 36 which is correct).
 
Anyway, I recently got a Magni 2U & Modi 2 and I am loving it. Keep up the good work.

My Asgard 2 has arrived and it sounds great, when powering my Alpha Prime's. Compared to the Yamaha Reciever, the sound through the amp is vibrant, the bass is nice as does the TREBLE. The sound from the Reciever was anemic, veiled at times. Schiit Audio makes some great equipment and recommend their stuff to anyone from a beginner to blokes looking for high end gear. I now will be a good audiophile miser and save all my money for the Yggdrasil.

  CVV code is required on all of our credit card transactions.

 
Most of the stolen CCs sold online include CVV and basic card holder information (full name, address, e-mail, etc). One such CC number costs $2-3+ (depending on how recent the database is, so most cards are still valid). Such "expensive" cards are normally used for buying stuff online and the person the item is shipped to usually has no clue about what he really is participating in and just making a quick buck (sometimes the person no longer exists and his/her stolen ID is used to pick the stuff up).
 
Cards without CVVs can be purchased for as low as $1 each... They're normally used for registration at some services which do not require CVV, let's say on eBay. Speaking of which, eBay accounts are also stolen and sold left and right, even ones with thousands of positive feedbacks. So don't trust a flawless history on eBay if someone is asking you to ship your item to his uncle in Nigeria. Also don't wire all your savings to a complete stranger selling that nice used Harley-Davidson or a Rolex watch. Especially when one offers to use a fake "escrow" service.
 
Then the "full monty" identity theft packages can be purchased for like $50-100+, depending on how much actual information there is... like online banking details, SSN, etc.
 
Also, usually all of this stuff is done by specialist groups. Some (very smart) guys work on botnets, some people are digging the information out of people's infected computers, then it's all sold to other groups. One of such groups does all the CC related stuff, other people buy the numbers and purchase stuff online, then the third group is doing the "shipping" services, etc, etc. Then there are people selling all this stuff on the black market. Everyone gets the cut.
 
These guys are professionals.

And that leaves three mysteries.
 
Mystery 1. Expect to wrap your mind around a couple of new concepts with this one. It’s really hard to say anything more about this…but consider that one component of it will be compatible with some of our other products.
 
Mystery 2. I’ve said I’ve been working on a new balanced topology, and that will be incorporated into one of the planned mystery products. It does not replace anything we’re currently selling, but it does take us in some surprising new directions. And that’s all I’ll say about that.
 
Mystery 3. And expect something that nobody is expecting from us. I can’t say more.
 
And, of course, there are a couple of wild cards, too…we’ll see what happens with those as we get further along in development.

 
Since Jason has built speakers and speaker amps in the past, my guess is active speakers of some sort. They would certainly be compatible with other Schiit products since most of their amps have preamp outs and would also work with the SYS, Mani and all the DACs. Not only that but Jason likes being an iconoclast and active speakers for the home setting basically don't exist even though they are all over pro audio.

This sounds ridiculously likely - but Jason did state somewhere that designing speakers is a tricky, bulky business. Hmm, maybe a cool little bluetooth speaker...

I'd rather see a monolithic stereo amp with either single ended input in the medium chassis for powering speakers. I'm just not a fan of active speakers.
