I can remember buying and playing that album on my Hitachi direct drive turntable with a Dynaco amp and preamp going into speakers I helped design. I cannot remember what I had for breakfast yesterday, but I remember that album and own it to this day.He must have been "excitable" if he smeared pot roast on his chest.
I think he was overcompensating for the $1,000,000 system from the video before. LolLol after a while I found myself counting how many times he mentioned the price...

A tube pre with a wall wart? Certainly possible, but likely? They did it w/Vali…Lol some of us would buy one.Even solid state, mine would be going into a 14 tube amp so I could certainly get by. Tube phono preamps can be very sensitive, I cannot get my phone anywhere near one I am using now.
I do not see it as likely, regardless I have at least 12 headphone amplifiers, I have no reason to add another. I like gear that serves a specific purpose.A tube pre with a wall wart? Certainly possible, but likely? They did it w/Vali…
Living the good life !Change of subject. Instead of studying local menus as if they contained a plot I told my wife I wanted the best burger in town. She answered immediately Bub’s burgers. OMG was she right. A 1/4 lb burger with choices of cheese and condiments served on a matching sized bun. Beef salted perfectly and a burger slightly taller than a smashed burger. Mmm. The half pound burger starts at $18 but the 1/4 lb was perfect. A proper red wine and a sip of proper bourbon after and once again the earth is turning in greased grooves.A little smooth music on the turntable and life is good.
The American baseball players are doing the same thing, going for home runs instead of hitting for average because that's what pays. The Chinese companies game the system by designing their products very specifically to output 5V to get maximum SINAD on the 555.

I actually stumbled upon a really cool application for the Philips. l hadn't ever paid attention to it before, but my tube tester has filament (heater) voltage settings all the way up to 117v. Hitting the 12.6v filaments of the Philips with 117v is seriously cool to watch. Happens fast, so you can't blink.
That's sweet. Nice job!Speaking of which, forgot to post the matching Birdseye panels I finally got installed on said Trumpet to match a certain two-piece Incvbvs...
FTFY.Please be a Gungnir-sized diff buffer balanced out phono preamp with MI/MC/MM switches and front knobs for load selection and mono mode and curve selection with 4 gain modes in silver withor withouttubes for $1499 or less…
Listening to the story above reminds me of a boy finding pleasure in setting things on fireI actually stumbled upon a really cool application for the Philips. l hadn't ever paid attention to it before, but my tube tester has filament (heater) voltage settings all the way up to 117v. I consider this a mercy killing for the tube, and also a way of contributing to the audio world by saving someone, somewhere the horror of having to listen to one of these things for years.![]()
