This may have been asked before, but is there a mechanism for offering "hard copy" music to fellow forum members besides the classifieds? Obviously nobody wants any threads clogged up with offers of things for sale or trade. But I'd love to give fellow Schiit-heads a chance to take CDs off my hands, kind of like what this group was doing with that copy of @Jason Stoddard's book a few months ago.

I had them powered by my Mjolnir that afternoon, so raw power shouldn't have been a problem. Perhaps the American amp didn't like the German headphones. Still holding a grudge from 1942?
Right. I found the DAC to have a much bigger (positive) effect on the HD800's SQ than did the amp. Actually, the game-changer for me was moving from the Gungnir to the Gumby. I am also using a Canadian amplifier so maybe the Deutsche HPs are more friendly to the Canucks. Just a very random thought. :)

Perhaps via Private Message? I would be very interested.....

I'm new to the headphone game, but everyone recommended Dan Clark Audio Aeon RT at $499. Can get open or closed. Drop has them now for $479. I realize its much more than $300, and I hope someone has a good recommendation for closed back <$300 because I'd be all in.
Dan Clark Audio /Mr Speakers Aeon Flow Closed 1st generation -used / previously enjoyed.
Easy to get new pads from DCA to make them feel like new again

+1 for Qobuz... and Pat Metheny :relaxed:
I still buy CDs of albums which I really like, but some are so expensive that I just listen to them on Qobuz. I don't download them; I just stream.
One example is The Beatles' 'White Album'- the 6CD, 50th anniversary remix, which was done brilliantly by Giles Martin. It is £90 in the UK!
There are also oddities like Steven Wilson's remixes of 5 classic Yes albums, which are only available as a vinyl box set, at over £100.
Vinyl is no good to me anyway, as I no longer have a turntable or phono stage, but fortunately these albums are available to stream online via Qobuz.
I was initially very sceptical about getting a subscription streaming service, but at £14.99 pm in the UK, I think Qobuz is great value and I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
I got the Steven Wilson Yes remixes from HD Tracks in 2019. $30 for 96/24 FLACs (after a discount), still available. Red Book is available, too.

Except for Limited Edition film score CD releases I must admit I don't buy many albums on CD as much as I used to, and the prices for some of the CD special edition do make me occasionally wince but there are bargains to be made if you're lucky enough and have good timing. Right now I'm happy with Qobuz and Spotify Premium.

The point, just about halfway...

Steven Wilson's YES remixes are excellent! So are his Jethro Tull remixes.

PS- Today, 19 Feb 2021, is the 50th Anniversary of the release of The Yes Album.

Sounds like a “KPop” genre needed.

Not a fan of K-Pop, but watch music docos and "BlackPink" came up on Netflix. Worth a watch to see a) the pop music machine working overtime and b) the possible background on recent deaths of young k-pop/k-movie celebrities. It really is machine out of which many have been spat.
