Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I second Audacity. It allows various bit rate samples. I have used it for ripping some old reel to reel tapes using a behringer UCA202. I put some of the flac files in a dropbox and could link to them when I am not at work if people want. The rips I made were mostly for some recordings my dad made from radio broadcasts.

Here is a dropbox link to a recording of a Guy Clark interview on KFAT radio, Gilroy, CA. I cannot remember when the recording was made and it is too much of a hassle right now to find the tape with those notes. This dub was made using Audacity, a Behringer UCA-202, and a TEAC A-2300SD that had been sitting in a garage for over a decade. I cleaned it up a bit but it probably needs more work. The tape was similarly left in a garage for over a decade. Also, this is technically a recording of a recording. They apparently recorded the interview ahead of time but then something happened to their tape so it is a bit abridged.

You guys are way off. It's the new phono preamp prototype w/ infinitely variable resistance and capacitance settings.

Or maybe it's a cryo chamber to ensure that Mike and Jason's brains live forever!!
Move over Ted Williams!! :D

Anyone think there is a possibility the future CD Transport could play blu-ray audio?

No. It will not and you're on the wrong thread.

Jeeze dude... There's no harm in asking the question on this thread. @Randolf711 politely asked an honest question and it's rude to tell him that his questions aren't welcome on this thread. Not everyone has read the nearly 5000 pages that contain Jason & Mike's threads and not everyone knows that Mike=digital and Jason=analog so maybe cut the guy some slack.

Mike has been posting more frequently these days but he rarely answers questions directly.

We've all been wrong. I have it on good authority that this is actually the 3D printer Jason bought on eBay.
