Some people would argue for switches on solid state gear, so they can save $2 a year and the planet.:grinning:

If Magni+ is like Vidar, does that mean Asgard 3 is like an Aegir? Is it a more advanced amp? Which one measures better?

I believe both the Asgard 3 and the Aegir are Class A biased amps with Continuity™

I believe that there are two types of relationships that people have with their cars. The more common type is as extension of yourself. Which in males is the need to get a "man' s car. " I personally prefer cars a bit like my women, petite and energetic.

Asgard is a headphone amp, while Aegir is designed to drive speakers. A 1 to 1 comparison is really not relevant.

No. They are Class AB amps with Continuity™.

I bet @Jason Stoddard would do that for the Lyr 3+
Add black color option or (even better) black & red - and I am upgrading my Lyr 3 !!!

An older Mac Mini will work just fine and be quite affordable.

Edit: Ah. @Charente beat me to it.

I 3rd the used Mac Mini. I got one for $400 that I use. Could have gone even cheaper though. He can probably pick up a decent for close to $200 with a little searching.

Yes. For a several weeks, maybe even over a month, I have been receiving them sporadically or not at all.

Addendum: I wondered. Usually in my experience problems like turn out to be "between the monitor and the keyboard." But since at least one other person has an issue, I sent a message to Head-Fi.
