OK, now for something completely different.
@Jason Stoddard: Is the Schiit revelation tomorrow a facebook event?

Standard press release stuff...plus I'll start a thread. Plus maybe more, we'll see. Probably no Schiitr video event until next week.

Another thread to follow?!

Just a standard product introduction thread. I refrained from creating threads like this for the last couple of product intros, because they were for more general high-end products (Vidar, Eitr, Jil), rather than Head-fi specific products.

And yep, there'll be a chapter up here as well.

Hah... I know it.
You're going to sell Schiit T-shirts and caps on the website.

I have the Audi Sound System. And it spells A.S.S. for a reason. The previous one in the a4(b7) was not bad at all. that`s why I skipped the B&O(on the b8) en went with A.S.S. again. Still regret it. The B&O would have to be really,REALLY good to justify it`s price on the other hand.
I was plannig on upgrading when Schiit happened.

Car stereos often leave a lot to be desired. It's illegal to wear headphones in most jurisdictions. Maybe Schiit should make some car audio products that work. That said if you wanted to design a place where designing a good sound system would be a major challenge, the interior a car is a good start. The question for Schitt is always how can they add value? In this case it may not be better amps and DACs but something more like Manhattan Project II.

Any sonic advantages running two Vidars? My search isn't turning out much useful info. I have a 93 db/watt speaker, so I probably only use 10 watts max. Is it just more power or are there slight audible improvement in sound quality?

Some folks have reported some challenges with very high sensitivity speakers using two Vidars and Freya in tube mode because of too much gain (raises the noise floor to audible levels).

That said, do you know your speakers are actually 93db, or is that just what they're rated at? Because most times that spec is overrated by manufacturers. Also what is the rated impedance?

Jason has been saying that one Vidar is plenty for higher sensitivity speakers - don't know if in reality there would be much sonic benefit to having 2. It's certainly tons of power for my 84db speakers.
