Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Yeah,
I got a new phone.
iPhone 14

Now the fun begins .
Very cool I have the IPhone 15 and love it. Most of my previous IPhones are still in use controlling lights, streaming music, and giving me multiple platforms for watching football and basketball.

Did someone mention something about tubes?

Nothing better than a generous helping of toooobey goodness to help keep you focused on the thing you’re working on.

Any prelim thoughts on the synergy between the Gungnir 2 and the FV? I wasn't a big fan of the BF 2/64 and FV combo. Loved the Yggy OG/ FV combo but can't justify having the FV in the same physical location.

I know Schiit in general doesn't like to discuss how something sounds, but Jason himself didn't recommend the BF 2/64 and FV as a combo. I'm more curious as to hear your thoughts as we seem to have similar tastes in HPs and equipment.

My son got me into IPhones years ago and I have stayed with them. He always has the newest and best electronics, other than audio. He depends on me for that.🤪

Oh and your switch box went out UPS and will arrive USPS. It fit nicely into a Skoll box. I will PM tracking to you soon.

Heidrun has to become the name of a Schiit product. Even if it's a musical beer dispenser. :smiley_cat:

I will hear a Valhalla 3 at some point as well as a Stjarna. 😉 I tend to look forward to any of their new tube gear, the rest I own, have owned, or have heard.

Getting deeply into tubes and tube rolling can require some learning but the rewards are there IMHO.
Yeah, I just started tube rolling on my Vali 3 the other day after purchasing two 5670 tubes on Etsy. Currently have the GE JG 5670 installed. Several tubes are on my to buy list as recommended by fellow Vali 3 owners. It will be a fun learning curve though,.

Sorry, but I think that I'll have to follow Jason's policy and not discuss what I think our products sound like.

Yes, I know that I've done so ad nauseam in the past, but I've since realized that the perceived sound of a piece of gear so heavily depends on what else is in your chain that it's mostly futile to discuss these things at all.
So even if I didn't work for Schiit, I'd still have stopped doing so anyway.

With that said, I like Gungnir 2. A lot.

True enough, too many variables to give a definitive answer regarding sound.

Good to know that you are enjoying the Gungnir 2 though. I am still dead set on getting the Yggdrasil MIB despite the temptation of the Gungnir 2 hype though.

I hope to have a Gungnir 2 here soon to do a three way shoot out with 3 other "dacs" that are considered by many as very good as well.

Jason often states there are lots of good choices out here...and Schiit is one of them for sure.

Whats really neat about Schiit is they have very affordable gear that provides us all with a really decent setup and many hours of listening enjoyment.

Vali 3 is an excellent example as is Midgard and Modius..

I will assume the ".." is the Gjallarhorn to complete that stack.

I went through most good tubes but I am more active indoors right now and use headphones less, unless friends want to hear my latest setup.😁

After you've spent all your money on tubes, trying to keep up with a couple of members here...
:sunglasses:
I spend little to no money on tubes but have a decent collection. I built something for the last friends who sent me quads.

I think of getting converted to Viking-ism...
