Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Turns out I did need to order some savers as the tubes that arrived hit the metal. Freya+ doesn't have the curve-appeal of some of the newer amps which look like they allow for wider tubes to fit without using a saver to raise things up. Got some random ones from Amazon with 2-day delivery and placed an order for some Novibs which will hopefully arrive at some point...
Here's how Prime works around here. Had an order that was supposed to be delivered yesterday (11/11). Got the message last night that my order was on the way, but had been delayed. Delivery now expected by 11/18. So it's either 2 days, or sometimes 9 days. I suppose that makes sense.....to someone in an alternate universe. About 75% of the time Amazon is pretty reliable. The other 25% they not only miss reliable, they miss logic entirely.

You scoff, but the Panthers have won as many games as the Cowboys at this point in the season. 😒
Parity in suckness is no cause for celebration. 🤣🤣

I hate it when Amazon delivers my package to someone in an alternate universe!

That what I ended up doing also as the PSVANES while they worked without the socket savers I didn’t like the contact with the chassis. Not sure if you ment Novik vs Novib but I’ve been happy with these Noviks: https://www.ebay.com/itm/294914482899

So, any conclusions yet??
Gugnir 2 is not here yet, hopefully soon.

The above was a test for several SS amps, Most of them in the pix provide a decent experience.
All are gone, sold or given away to folks.
Why ?
To make room or other amps...love testing them etc..
Several amps over the past 10 years have stayed here for a few years...
But most move on...but a few have lingered on longer than others..

The only tube amp I have for headphones are the Vali 3.
Midgard will be around for long time...
Mj3 as well..
And my PassLabs HPA-1 is a keeper as well...

Another setup in time in my listening room:
Some DIY, others retail purchases...
Some ask why do I do this?
Answer: to hear for myself if the BS and hype is really honest...

I've noticed that I'll have better luck if I choose the earliest (free) delivery date. For example, if I choose the "next day" instead of "overnight between 4-8 am" then they'll lose the package... (which is silly since I rarely need it a few hours earlier, but I guess it employs the gig workers more at least).

I haven't decided yet if I will include the ability to install the iPad app on Macs with Apple silicon. It would be relatively trivial to do, but the user experience wouldn't be great. The app's user interface is specifically designed for touch control, not mouse or keyboard, so the experience would feel … suboptimal, let's put it that way.
I'm not opposed to it in general, and I might enable this eventually, but it'll probably not be in the first release.

iPhone mirroring won't work. You will be able to open the app, of course, but for some reason beyond my understanding, Apple decided to block access to anything Bluetooth while an app is running through iPhone Mirroring. So you won't be able to actually control anything. I have no idea whether that's a bug or done so on purpose. I've filed a bug report with Apple, but based on past experience, I'm not very optimistic that this could change any time soon.
I'd be much more comfortable with you changing the "I" to "we" in your statements.

They were listed as Novib (I saw some references here on HF to them with that name. The full product line was "Plug & Play NOVIB OCTAL NOS GE-USA OMRON-JAPAN Socket Saver© with Vibration Reduction Base"

Maybe they're delivering on Tulsa Time.
