I'm listening to this on my Valhalla 2 with the HD600. Lovely.

How I am enjoying — uh, I mean, long-term testing — Gungnir 2 in my main 2-channel system:

I have officially turned into Dave. 😬
So that's the black one.....does silver sound any better? 🤣 🤣

I am not familiar with The Lark Ascending but I just ordered this set by Bernard Haitink.
Lark was #1 for many years in the UK classical charts. Nicola Benedetti is the soloist on what I regard as the definitive version.

I'd highly recommend RVW broader work too, if you are a subscriber to any of the streaming services, there is an amazing amount oif his work which is almost unknown in the US. The set you have bought has many of the favorites!

Enjoy....

Currently, I'm listening to RVW Symphony 3 and 7. Not at the same time! But also the Dives & Lazarus piece is gorgeous. Of course, the Tallis Fantasia is one of his most divine works.

I also enjoy Pinchas Zuckerman but I will try the Benedetti version again.🤪

I'm a little weirded out that Nicola Benedetti is Scottish. Should be Nicola McBenedetti, right?

I'm a fan of the David Nolan performance with Vernon Handley and RPO. EMI classics.
I am also a fan of the run/pass option, RPO. I had no idea you are an American football fan.🤪🤪 ( I do know it is the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of course.)

I think you know I'm a Bears fan all the way.

Yep lol, the team is in a bit of turmoil but I stay a Bears fan regardless. :beerchug:

Packages are heading out the door to Sam and Adam, a good day to kick back and enjoy some music. A family friend is the violinist on this album, studied at IU then Julliard.

Yeah the portability law didn’t apply (IIRC) to fixed/landlines… dunno who to despise more, the companies or the pols and their rules
Actually it did. Any telco running TDM switches (pretty much everyone except little Ma & Pa telcos), were required to enable porting

My company is actually a victim of this rural telco exception, 4 years ago we moved to a VOIP provider and established a 8xx primary number, and have been paying $45/month to permanently forward our old primary number and fax to our VOIP host....

This will finally be the Lions year! (They’ve never succeeded in the over 60 years I can remember following them, and my dad before that - always talking about Lane)… so maybe da Bears can do something next year?
