Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Question for anyone who has an Urd and Loki Max. Any issues with stacking these together? The Loki Max mentions avoiding anything with transformers in it. The Urd does but I’m sure they’re not very big. Rack real estate is at a premium. Wondering if this will work or perhaps adding some standoffs between the two. Any thoughts would be helpful. The Loki is on its way.

I would not expect an issue. The Urd is entirely within the digital domain. Unless mechanical. I can’t see the Loki max power supply or inductors affecting.

I agree with @ImagesbyMurray - don’t assume there’s going to be a problem. I have Lokius, not the max, but I just positioned mine on top of Urd, and gave it a good listen. No hum or other additions.

I had mine on a Yggy and under a Freya, never had an issue (source: the guy who sent you the Loki!)...Give it a shot and see how it sounds, recommend some type of riser

That's because they're not a state and a noun version of the same term, but because they're two different terms.
English has a similar thing going on with wedded (English for "verheiratet") and marriage (English for "Ehe").
The first is the past tense of the act of uniting two households, the second one is the state.

The Germans really love 'Ehe':
Verheiratung . Eheschließung · Heirat · Hochzeit · Trauung · Trauungszeremonie

You won't induce hum in the Urd, but you may induce hum in the output of Lokius due the inductors in use in the filter circuits.
I can confirm that I can easily make my Lokius output hum waving it too close to the Bifrost 2 or Asgard 3 transformer, but a few inches away and it's fine.

Verizon extorted $86 from me to release my old landline number to Comcast, my new carrier.
Yeah the portability law didn’t apply (IIRC) to fixed/landlines… dunno who to despise more, the companies or the pols and their rules
