Little blighters ain't got no gardenin' to do now so may as well put 'em to work tuning the audio, eh?
.... put them on the carpet --> speaker cable support --> eliminate gnomodulation phase shift .... 🤷🏻‍♂️🤪

I spent much of the day in a recliner watching film noir movies and series such as Lioness.
Just started with Lioness the other night. Zoe Saldana is awesome as usual.

Yep. Another series I hope to see soon is a series remake of Day of the Jackal. A favorite book and movie.

The Groove Nook* is taking shape. Still a work in progress - needs some concert posters hung and whatnot - but this is becoming a rad little spot to hang out whenever the fam inhabits the living room where the NOLAs and stuff reside.

Not bad for a 5.5' x 7.5' (1.6m x 2.29m) space that was used as a children's play area by the previous tenants... who clearly lacked imagination. 😒

Miles Davis' track Circle In The Round from the album of the same name is seriously COOL! Joe Beck's guitar adds something really special here for me.

*I may work on the name for this space, too.

Excellent album..I love Jack Johnson too.

Edward Fox usually plays nasty characters but if you ever watch an interview of his, he is such a down to earth nice guy. Completely genuine stand up person.

How do you utilize the measurements, if not for DSP?
Measurement reports delivered with rebuild Quad ESL-63 speaker sets. Frequency, phase, impedance, waterfall etc.
Most important the extreme low distortion levels of these speakers. Think below 0,1% from 200 Hz to 24 kHz and never above 0,7% anywhere down to 30 Hz.
Also to show the evenness in frequency response between both speakers in a set, within 1-2 dB over the total frequency range.
Quads were (and most likely still are) the go to speakers for Mike for a very good reason.

That's easy. You have your acoustician analyze the results.

Then suggest the appropriate acoustic treatments and compensation. Such as custom bass traps - stuffed with organic Australian lamb's wool and teased to the exact density required, @bcowen and/or @Ripper2860 can assist with testy teasing methods.

For the midrange anomalies, some well distributed absorbent schiit such as rockwool covered in bespoke Dior Natural Les Cerisiers Raffia-Effect Fabric. And of course, have @Paladin79 craft geometrically exquisite diffusers using quilted (or unquilted) maple from trees your great grandparents planted 100 years ago in anticipation of your auditory conundrums.

Once these treatments are applied and appropriate measurements are taken to confirm the fruits of 5 years of hard tweaking, you can turf those boxy box speakers and wait until @Bowmoreman and his watchdog fall asleep in front of the woodstove. Then sneak in and abscond with those delightful ribbon speakers that have little need for the trappings of bass balloons, the waves of standing or sidewall reflection remediation. 🤣
Bring:

2 people; one doesn’t abscond with these alone…

And

Towels, because Bismarck will lick/love you to death (likely tripping you during said abscondiment…

Well done!

I still have tobacco and coffee cans of screws, nuts, bolts etc. from my father-in-law who was a carpenter. I have used so many screws of a specific type that I was down to five when I needed six to attach RCA inputs. I found number six by looking through said cans of screws.🤪

NOS screws? Cool! Just like NOS tubes, only different. 🤣

I keep mine in leftover Friskies Party Mix cat treats containers. Square, clear and big screw top openings allow me to get my big, fat hand in there to pull out the screw, washer, nut, spring or whatever I need to replace the part I dropped and can't find to finish up restoring one of Paladin's cool vintage record changers...:smirk:

The KEF Concerto’s? Nice!

What do you think so far?
I like them, the mid range is great, really balanced sound. Still need to dial them in, the extra bass they have over my Dynaudio needs a bit more fine tuning.
