Wood shouldn't present much of a problem unless it's panzerholz.....
Distance from listening seat to amp is more like 12 feet, but does have to go through the wood floor.
...
So @Jason Stoddard @ArmchairPhilosopher I’ve a Forkbeard Question: What do you estimate the range to realistically be, in-home? For example, I have my Kara (which I can upgrade to FB), and gonna have Stjarna…. Both in my cabinet at back corner of listening room about 20 feet away from where my amp is (which is UNDER the wood flooring in the basement under the speakers. So 3/4” of plywood, with hard oak flooring over that. There is a foiled / vapor barrier in between. Were I to replace current amp with Wotan FB’d, would it work? I’m really not familiar with BT ranges IRL (beyond in my cars to my phones also in said car),
Thanks for any thoughts…
There were two volumes of those. Is that different than the Stereophile test CD set? I have one that's handy every once in a while: "this is the left channel -- LEFT CHANNEL"
Yeah that’s it.That so explains the special affinity you've been showing!
Can you give us the recipe? What cable did you buy? How did you make it. I use nordost interconnects but I buy them used and only have one blue heaven and one purple flare. Valhalla is a bit out of my range for the actual. The real product is Nordost Valhalla 2 speaker cable. My knockoff version sounds amazing.
I had my speaker cables' and Schiit gear's chakras aligned and it took sound to the next level. My cables have had their atoms aligned by a fakir (cryo is so last century).
FTFY.I had my speaker cables' and Schiit gear's Barbie aligned and it took sound to the next level.
Happy Saturday!
How do you utilize the measurements, if not for DSP?And you can create a FIR filter with REW.
I use REW all the time for speaker measurements, but never use it to create filters.
Thanks. Actually listening to a new (to me) LP of Resphighi gifted by @bagwell359 during his visit for our 34 year overdue catchup listening session earlier this week. Between the wood stove on this chilly night and the tunes, it’s quite awesome. Meinem Gemütlichkieit, as it were. I turn the wood stove fireplace fan off during listening.Oh that's a gorgeous set up. I bet you have had wonderful listening sessions in that room.
I shall test this out probably tomorrow. My Bose QC25 gaming headset connects via BT to my iPad…(Revised)
IMHO, BT has a range of about 25’ clear line of sight. Distance and objects between iDevice and each FB transceiver are what matters. The foil vapor barrier (depending on how many seams) might be a no-go.
(Ninja’d by @ArmchairPhilosopher)
You can test this by placing your phone w/ bluetooth active at your normal listening spot & using a standard BT earpiece downstairs

Folks can find REW measurements useful for determining changes to FR when adding acoustic treatments or moving their listening position / speakers. It can prove beneficial for determining the impact of tweaking the listening environment and not just for creating FIR files for DSP use.How do you utilize the measurements, if not for DSP?
