I still have one somewhere, just little interest at this point in my life.I owned a Celestron telescope a few years back. Took some great shots with it.

After a gigantic vinyl collection, streaming is a blessing to me.Re. subscriptions…
Music and streaming subscriptions make complete sense to me. I'm one of those weirdos who actually prefer to lease their content over owning it. I'm not very likely to re-watch TV shows or almost all movies more than once, so it's a much more interesting value proposition to me to lease access to large libraries rather than buying small amounts of content. But that's just me.
I love shopping for cars when I'm pissed. "Sir, we have to check with the Manager to see if we can accept such a low offer..." "You can take some other guy through the grinder and make $1k on him later, you can make $250 with me, and it'll take 5 minutes - choose". This is of course after I've test driven it, and gotten the poop on the actual price.Because of my professional background, I also do have some (albeit limited) sympathy for software houses of any size that feel the pressure to take the subscription route for their offerings. I don't like it, but I get it. (I can get into this topic in a bit more detail at some point if there's interest and when I have more time.)
But then there are cases like this:

Please excuse the crude language, but this is all I have to say to this and similarly brain-dead attempts by corporate accountants and board members at first screwing their customers for their money and then their shareholders for their stake's value:
Of course, hence my liberal use of cat emoji's. And the point earlier about diminishing returns is an essential point to keep in mind throughout our hobby. Balancing cost and performance within the context of a system is key.Within reason. They were talking cheap cable compared to something that is high strand count with some interesting properties because of how the individual strands are insulated and share the surface of the cable.
I do not always play by the same rules but I understand the precepts.Of course, hence my liberal use of cat emoji's. And the point earlier about diminishing returns is an essential point to keep in mind throughout our hobby. Balancing cost and performance within the context of a system is key.
Of course, when one learns about the value that a company like Schiit offers everything changes.
That's what's funny about thisMy *general* experience with all cables over the last 35 years is that more, smaller strands is usually better than fewer fatter ones… then there’s complexities of insulation, conductor materials (Copper, OFC, silver coated OFC pure silver, etc. etc.)… but Ill take strand count over individual guage any day.

Oh we are doing quotes?"Obey the Principles, but do not be bound by them."

Bummer, man! I think there's some unwritten law of the universe that states the probability of getting a nail in a tire is exponentially higher when it's brand new.You know how some people seem to have all the fun?
As I posted, we got a puncture last Friday on the way to CanJam Dallas, and after a couple of tow trucks and a full new set of tires we were good to drive home after the show. Anyhoo, I just got back from Costco after getting another puncture yesterday (second in under a week, yay!). Nail in the tire this time.
Happy Friday everyone! The show must go on, let the music roll, and so forth.

Thanks I try. I owe Adam so I am making the best thing I can physically make to match his Tyr shelves. Another special build was this amp for Cowen. I did it once but I always felt it could look better so I remade it.
