I don't think Schiit will ever release a streamer. That market is covered pretty well and as you stated, many Pi-based options are available. I think this was just a thought experiment while we await new releases.

** I use a Pi 4 and RoPieee. It has Roon, Spotify Connect, Airplay 1 (lossless), Airplay 2, and DLNA support as well as PlexAMP support (a good option for non-Roon types). It's bullet-proof and all I need.

If they ever do, they should call it the Schiit Steamer.

Just a note to say that my Lyr+ and Vidar 2 has dispatched. Maybe others have experienced a similar delay, but it looks like Schiit's Texas move is now settling down and orders are working their way through the order handling queue.
