I missed it (but apparently it only lasted ~20 minutes in our area); this is what I get for falling behind in the thread! :face_palm:
Yeah, I never had adequate viewing conditions here so a bit of a non-event for me, but several friends across the U.S. saw them for the first time from their homes and that's pretty dang neat.

I’ve had no trouble getting a consistent brew with my chemex. Especially since I learned to stir the grounds in the water. I used to just let it drip away and then add more water till the kettle was empty.

This video helped a lot. Just that little extra step of stirring while brewing brought more of the flavors out. I haven’t had a bad cup since.

Congrats! I’m glad you’re enjoying the coffee ritual! It has the same effects like the way we wait for our tubes to warm up before we get to hear them in full glory!

For me though I can only do the coffee ritual only when I’m sober at work 😁

I’m already immune to caffeine that I need at least 1 Keurig + 2 pour overs at work cubicle to get me pumped for 1/2 a day hehe

That was Rico Suave. 😉
Gerardo. I remember I was 13 or 14 years old when that song appeared and began to be played 24/7 in every damn radio station or music tv channel. I hated it with a passion.

Today I became 49 years old and I just went to Youtube to watch the video after decades of not even remember it existed aaaand... the hate remains the same. I guess some things never change

Keurig is far better than going without. (Really can’t believe I just said that.)
I can't either. Are you feeling OK, I hope? 🤣

Exactly. It's like being a thermionic gourmet on a road trip with your Vali 3, only to discover you've selected tubes from your drawer of shame, not your drawer(s) of exquisite gain. Your choice then is between a noisy GE no-star 5670 or an adapted ECG 12AU7 or listening to the lifeless opamp in your laptop. 🤣
This is why some road trips get cut short. 🤣
